Loss and Bereavement

Sadly, one in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage. This word does not encompass what it means to lose a baby at any stage of pregnancy. Regardless of when this happens or why, coping with such a loss can feel lonely and devastating. We understand the impact of loss in pregnancy and are experienced in supporting women through their grief and during subsequent pregnancies, which often are marred by anxiety.

Some couples lose a baby at birth or shortly after, and this is a unique grieving experience which can be highly traumatic. PTSD can co-occur with grief, creating a more complex loss journey, and when this happens, we can gently support parents through navigating this time and processing residual trauma to enable healthy grieving and coping.
